From Ancestry.com:
Ludwig Freiburgher was born in 1743 in Freeburg, Germany. He came to America on the ship "Hero", landing in Philadelphia on Oct. 27, 1764. The last name became Frybarger and then Fryberger and his first name became Lewis. In 1795, Lewis and his thirteen children moved west and first settled near Frankfort, KY. In 1796, the family moved to Waldsmith Settlement on Little Miami River [now known as Camp Dennison]. In 1799, the family moved to Ohio and settled on the land which now forms the village site of Goshen, Clermont County.

He is listed as a private in Capt. John Sneider's Co., Northumberland Co. Militia on May 13, 1780 and is listed in the Roster of Rev. War Soldiers of Old Clermont. He died in 1802 and is the first recorded burial in Myers Cemetery in Goshen. His wife died in 1818.

In the 1790 US census for Northumberland Co, PA, Ludwick Freyberger:
Males: 4 0-15 [Daniel-5, Jacob-7, Andrew-11, George-13, Lewis-15]; 1 16+ [Ludwig-47] Females: 3 [Catherine-?, Eve-17, Framey-23, Mary-42].
