Albert A. McFadden

Services' for Albert A. McFadden, 67, of 552 W. Donald St., will be 1 p.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave., with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, where grave- side miltiary rites will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post No. 31.

Mr. McFadden died of cancer Tuesday (Oct. 27) at Covenant Medical Center at West Ninth Street.

He was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Des Moines, son of Earl and Pansy Saunders McFadden.

He married Hilda Frisch on May in Allen- town, Pa.

He was self-employed in excava- tion, retiring in 1980.

He was a vet- eran of the U.S. Army, serving dur- ing World War II from Dec. to June He received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal and Bronze Star.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dennis McFadden and Timothy McFadden, both of Cedar Falls, and LeRoy of Tripoli; two daughters, Linda Kienast of Evansdale and Mrs. Vicki Koepke of Waterloo; and 15 grandchildren and a great-grand- daughter;

he was preceded in death by a son, Earl; and two sisters, lona DeMartino and Florence Mahaffey.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until services Friday at the funeral home.
