David Gene Bagwell, 69, of Asheville, died September 27, 2016 at the Brian Center in Brevard, NC. He was also under the care of CarePartners Hospice.
David was born on May 28, 1947 in Asheville to the late Clinton and Winifred Bagwell. He served in the US Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran.
David was a 1975 graduate of N.C. State University with a B.S. Degree in Engineering and was the recipient of the Award for Academic Excellence.
David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jill Latta Bagwell; son, David Mark Bagwell and family of California; daughter, Susan Bagwell Dann and family of Maryland; brother, Daniel Alan Bagwell and family of Asheville; and six grandchildren.
A private family ceremony will be held.
