Albany, May 17 (Special). —James C. Cook died suddenly this morning. He was the son of James M. Cook, of Ballston, who was State Treasurer in 1851-’52, State Controller in 1854-’56, and State Superintendent of Banking in1856-’61. He was born in Ballston about 1830 and was graduated from Union College. He was the brother of Mrs. George S. Batcheller, and of Mrs. Hull of New York City.
