Robert (Bob) Norton Storey, 84, died Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Bob was born on October 23, 1934 in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the eldest son of Luther Preston Storey and Gertrude Lucille Pettus.

Bob worked for 36 years for Nabisco, then known as the National Biscuit Company. He and his wife, Peggy McLelland Storey lived in Mississippi and Florida before retiring to Birmingham in 1994.

Bob loved music, sports (especially golf), and had a life-long love of drawing and painting. He & Peggy loved to travel, visiting many countries, often with church groups. Bob was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, where he and Peggy sang in the Sanctuary Choir, and served as Co-Presidents of the Choir. He served as a Deacon and was a Sunday School teacher as well as founding member of the Agape Sunday School Class. He loved his church family so very much.

Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy McLelland Storey, four children, Cindy Storey (Tommy) Smith of Ocala, Florida, Steven Robert (Melanie) Storey of Kissimmee, Florida, Sande Storey (Lance) Beck of Atlanta, Georgia and Paul Preston (Jan) Storey of Birmingham, Alabama. He is also survived by 7 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Gertrude, brother, Tony Michael, sister, Patricia June and grandson, Michael Jeffrey Storey.
