Lynda Ruth Stevens, age 91, of Frankfort, Indiana formerly of Mound City, Illinois passed away at 6:29 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
Lynda was born April 22, 1928 in Hickory, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ivo Edward and Glena Fissinger Garnett.
On December 4, 1976 in Mound City, Illinois she married William Roscoe “Rocky” Stevens. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1990. She worked as a sales clerk for Rexall Drug Store.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Samuel Wilburn, Barry John Wilburn, Michael Wilburn and Troy Wilburn.
She is survived by her children, Becky Smith and Rodney DeVaux both of Frankfort, Indiana and Gary E. Brenner of Delaware; her sisters, Patty (Harold) Schmarje, Shirley Black, Donna (Clyde) Holman, and Karen (Michael) Smiddy; her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She loved all of her family very much.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri. Inurnment will follow.
