Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Mamou, LA, for Mrs. Beatrice Hilda Simon Thomas, 79, who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her residence in Mamou, LA.
Interment will be in Zion Travelers/St. Paul Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Allen W. Ben will officiate the service.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Mr. Jimmie Thomas of Mamou, LA; two daughters, Irish Sedenia Thomas and Fodelafaye Roxanne Thomas both of Mamou, LA; two children she shared parental relationships with, S. Faye Williams of Baton Rouge, LA and Patrick George of Pine Prairie, LA; two sisters, Dorothy Simon and Dea Serie both of Mamou, LA; five grandchildren, Cherie, Malik, Alaya, Paige and Melia; two great grandchildren, Zoie and Amessia; six Godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Elton B. Simon and Ovelia A. Simon; two sisters, Gladys S. Frank, Audrey S. Jack and Rejoycie Simon; two brothers, Tolton and Gene Autry Simon; four brothers-in-law, Massianese “Te-Clif” Jack, Douglas Frank, Paul T. Guillory and Charlie Woods.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church.
