Jacob Benjamin "Jake" Ray, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in a hospital in Idaho.
His passage was a peaceful one with loving family members by his side.
Jake, the son of Woodrow and Violee Defibaugh Ray, was born on August 4, 1943 near Clover Lick, WV.
Jake spent the last 38 years with the love of his life, his wife, Dianna Tawney Ray.
Together they loved and raised; L. M., Jacob W. and wife K., M. E. Ray, J. B. Ray Jr. and wife, Y., D. Ray and Christine, Daniel Nicole and A. T. Grandchildren Great Grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a son, George Lucas Ray (stillborn).
Also preceding him are six siblings; a sister, Mary Ellen Ray Holloway passed in April 2019, two brothers, Ernest Clarence Ray and Delbert Calvin Ray, did not survive their infancy
and three stillborns.
In addition to his wife and children, Surviving are thirteen siblings: Ten sisters; Helen and husband, Donald , of Baltimore, MD, Margaret , Darlene , Sally, Ernestine, Barbara and companion, Jim, of Marlinton, WV area, D. Ray and companion, Joey of Bartow, WV, Frances and husband Pete of Buckeye, WV, Virginia and husband Calvin of Twin Falls, ID and N. Ray also of Twin Falls, ID., Three brothers; R. Ray and wife B. of Twin Falls, ID, C. Ray of Marlinton, WV and J. Ray and wife C. of Warm Springs, VA. , one aunt, Oleta of Roanoke, VA, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho is handling the arrangements for a viewing on Tuesday, Sept. 10th at 5 p.m. and a funeral service on Wednesday, Sept. 11th at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be in the Hazelton Cemetery in Hazelton, Idaho.
