When the sun rose on August 28, 1946, in Cottonport, Louisiana, God blessed
proud and loving parents, Edward Bush and Nettie Bush with a handsome
baby boy. They lovingly named their precious gift Edward Bush, Jr., and he was the oldest child of two.

 With the blessing of being raised in a loving, God-fearing home, at an early age Edward studied under the Catholic faith. Later, he rededicated his life and became one with God for the remainder of his days on Earth.

 Edward graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1965. Afterwards, he
enlisted in the United States Army, diligently serving two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. Not only did he receive an Honorable Discharge and was a Retired Veteran, but was awarded and received a Purple Heart for his bravery and dedication to his country and fellow man.

Edward united in marriage to the love of his life, Carolina, whom he lovingly referred to as “Tweety”. They shared an amazing seventeen (17) years of bliss as husband and wife, loved each other as God would have it, and kept their promise in life and until his last breath.

Edward was a selfless, loving and caring man. He always gave of himself to others
who were in need, without any thought or hesitation. We will remember him as a
family man who enjoyed life, loved music and having a good time with family and friends. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He will be sadly missed from our daily lives, but he will live in our hearts forever.

Edward’s destiny here on Earth has been fulfilled. God, in His infinite wisdom, called him home into His loving grace on September 7, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Bush and Nettie Bush; and his sister, Alice R. Miller.

He leaves everlasting memories with his devoted and loving wife, Carolina Bush;
sons, Kevin Bush and Sean Hardy; daughters, Toni Lynn Bush Fitch (Joe), Ingrid Parker, Kimberly Hardy, Seantille Wiley (Reginald) and Takisha Poole; brother, Edward Bush; sisters, Dorothy Como (Henry), Barbara Jones (Kenneth), Jacqueline Bush, Wanda Jones (Stanley) and Lovie Austin; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
