Tris was born in Asheville on May 21, 1963 to Daniel Sam Elliott of Old Fort and Margaret Jeanette Pittman Elliott of Marion. A lifelong resident of Buncombe, Tris was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School, Asheville High Cosmetology and Western Academy of Hair Design. She was an employee of Express Personnel and a member of Oakley Baptist Church. She enjoyed the arts, and photography and spending time with her family, friends and pets.
Tris is survived by her husband David Scott Fisher; son, Chris West of Black Mounatin; daughters, Lauren West of Leicester and Heather Neal and husband, Brandon, of Leicester; sister, Tammy Meadows and husband, Ted, of Fairview; grandchildren, Christopher “Bo”, Daniel, Haven, Jackson, Rylee, Lilly, Will and Gauge; nephews, John Denny and wife, Christina, and Chad Martinez; lifelong friends, Tanya Huntsinger and Donna Whitener and daughter-in-law, Shae West.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11am Oakley Baptist Church. Pastors Tom Pierce and Jeffrey Parker will officiate.
