Mrs. Melinda Ritter, 86, of 35 Water St., Elmira, died at her home Monday after a brief illness. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Stroh, she was born in Woolwich Township, Dec. 6, 1875. Her husband, Daniel, died in 1951. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira. Surviving are four sons, Cranson, Clayton, Percy and Harry, all of Elmira; one daughter, Mrs. Harley (Mabel) Stahlbaum of Elmira; one brother, Henry of Elmira and one grandson and two great-grandchildren. Two sons, two brothers and two sisters also predeceased her. The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Thursday noon when removal will be made to St. James Church, for the funeral at 3 p.m. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs. Rev. Harry Baetz will officiate.
