Douglas Noble Lane was born on August 1, 1937, in Shelby County to Emmet and Yvonne Lane. He was a retired rancher. Mr. Lane also served honorably in the United States Air Force for four years where he received the Efficiency Fidelity Honor for his exemplary service.
Doug loved to tell stories and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor which earned his nickname of “Lightning Lane.” He enjoyed current events, reading newspapers, and spending time with his longtime friends at the local hardware store. He was a loving “Granddaddy’ to Amber and Lauren and loved to refer to them as “Sugar.”
