Marjorie Alice Smith

Marjorie Alice Carson, daughter of David and Sarah Elizabeth Carson, was born near Douds, Iowa, July 29, 1856, an died at her home near Kilbourne, Dec. 10, 1944, aged 88 years, 4 months and 21 days.

She was married at the parental home near Douds to Ellis E. Smith Dec. 23, 1875 and to them were born ten children all of whom survive their parents, the husband having preceded her in death in August, 1936. There are three sons, Justin F., Worland, Wyoming, Fred G. Kilborne, Norvin Alberdena, Calif.; Seven daughters, Eva E. at home, Mrs. Myrtle Askew, Stockport, Mrs. Margaret Stinson, Nestelem, Wash., Mrs. Retta Keck, Douds, Aletha, Des Moines, Mrs. Etta Hissem, Selma, Mrs. Katherine Boyer, Douds. Also 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
