Elsie is survived by her daughter Shirley Lee(Sammy-deceased) of Auburn, AL; son Robbie Joines(Nancy) of Hiram, GA; grandsons Donald Lee of Brewton, AL, Matthew Joines(Sweta) of Roswell, GA, and Michael Joines of Conyers, GA; granddaughters Emily Thompson(Davis) of Auburn, AL, Christy Hursey (Andy) of Perry, GA, and Julie Hill(Forrest) of Conyers, GA; and many nephews and nieces. Elsie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years Charles Richard Joines; her son Charles Ronald Joines; four brothers and two sisters.
Elsie was a long-standing member of Sharon Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA. She enjoyed crochet as well as making baskets but she really enjoyed sports, both playing and watching. Elsie even won the Cobb Bowling League Championship. Most importantly, Elsie was a caregiver. She was known for looking after and taking care of all those around her, from her family and friends, to the neighbors in her community. She had a loving and caring spirit that she shared with everyone she met. Elsie’s loving presence will be forever missed.
A visitation was held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, GA.
