Cynthia Blankenship, 90, of Hurley, VA died on Wednesday, September 26, 1990 at a Buchanan County hospital. She was a member of the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church in Wolford, VA.
She was born in 1900 at Mohawk, WV to the late Robert Bailey (Deceased) and Zetta Cline-Bailey (Deceased). She was preceded in death by her husband, Joda Lafayette Blankenship (1902-1983); son, Cloyd Blankenship (Deceased); daughter, Pauline Blankenship-Blankenship (1930-1990); two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include her daughters, Violet Blankenship-Presley (1926-2002) of Skygusty and Geneva Blankenship of Hurley; son, Lafayette Blankenship of Newport News, VA; brother, Cloyd Bailey of Hurley; thirty grandchildren; forty nine great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church in Wolford with the Elders Delbert Justus, Hershell Hurley and Josh Justus Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Rob Bailey Cemetery at Hurley.
