JOSH'S OBITUARY
Joshua Cody Lackey, 37, of Spearman, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at The First Assembly of God Church in Spearman at 3:00 p.m. with Aaron Blackerby and Travis Street of Higher Power Recovery officiating. Arrangements were made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Josh was born July 27, 1982 to Janet Torres in Borger Texas. He grew up in Spearman and was a 2000 graduate of Spearman High School. He lived the majority of his life living in Spearman. In 2018 he took a job that allowed him to travel to Puerto Rico for a year restoring electricity after Hurricane Maria. At the time of his death he was employed as a Toolhand Manager for Higher Power Electrical LLC in Oklahoma City. He loved fishing, the Dallas Cowboys; his family and friends.
Survivors include his mom Janet Torres and dad Tony Mans of Gruver; one brother Michael Torres of Spearman; one sister Hali Karlin and husband Reagan and nephew Kane of Amarillo; his aunt and uncle Barb and Joey Sharp; cousins include David Sharp and Dana Boyd along with Aubree, Jaxson and Gatlin.
Josh was proceeded in death by his grandparents Dale and Betty Oltman; an uncle James Oltman.
The family requests memorials be made to Western Heritage Church, 1209 Ave G, PO Box 109, Hale Center, Texas 79041.
