Robert worked in the landscaping industry. He was lovingly known to his grandchildren as Poppy. He was an active member with Kairos in prison ministries where he was nicknamed, Brother Two-Tone. In the pirate community, he was known as Captain Red Rob Le Duke.
He is survived by his mother, June Duke, of Nederland; wife, Anna “Shelley” Duke, of Port Neches; daughter, Brittany McGraw and her husband, Chris, of Kennesaw, Georgia; son, Eric Duke, of Nederland; step-daughter, Mackenzie Scott, of Groves; stepsons, Robert and John Zukowski, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Cayleigh McGraw; and Avery and Abigail Greenwood; siblings, Mike Duke and his wife, Lori; Andrew Duke; and Carolyn Duke Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, M.J. Duke; son, Johnathan Duke; and sister-in-law, Dianne Duke.
A gathering of Mr. Duke’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Jackson Cemetery, 11120 Highway 7 East, Joaquin, Texas.
