Martha Lucille Jackson Crowder was born December 28, 1941 at her Grandma Jacksons house in Edith, TN. She went to her forever home on Monday, September 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 PM Wednesday at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday at Garner Funeral Home with burial to follow in Marys Chapel cemetery.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents George and Helen Jackson and a brother Floyd Dennis Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Cecil Lewis Crowder Sr. whom she married January 24, 1960. She is also survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her Children are Lewis (Frances) Crowder, Jeff Crowder, and Marion (Mark) Hargett. She is also survived by a sister Georgia Bridgewater( William, deceased) and a brother James (Sandra) Jackson.
Martha had been bedridden for the past 6 years. Prior to that she worked at E.W.James where her customers were greeted with a smile and kind word. Her brother says that she was a friend to the whole world. Martha loved her family and greatly enjoyed their times together.
