Gregory C. Dennis, Sr., 48, a resident of Polkville died Friday, November 28, 2014 at home. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday, December 1, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the First Baptist Church Polkville Cemetery. Visitation was held 5-9 pm Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Rev. Zach Kilpatrick will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the services.
Mr. Dennis was a native of Smith County and was the son of Clark Dennis and the late Myrtle Richardson Dennis. He was married to Ellaween Moore Dennis. He work as a machine operator in the manufacturing industry for Multicraft. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with friends and family. Mr. Dennis loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Dennis was preceded in death by
his wife, Ellaween Moore Dennis;
mother, Myrtle Dennis;
brother, Michael Dennis and
grandson, Keagan Bryant.
Mr. Dennis is survived by his children, Crystal (Jason) Moore, Candise Dennis (D.J. Bryant), Gregory Dennis, Jr. (Jessica Cooksey) and step son, Jessie Moore;
brothers, Jeff (Susan) Dennis and Shannon Dennis;
5 grandchildren, Caylin Moore, Ashton Moore, Carson Moore, Kynslee Bryant and Jayden Moore; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring Mr. Dennis as pallbearers will be Frank Allen, James Goss, Jonathan Bright, Jeffery Goss, Eric Dennis and Junior Watkins.
