Born May 7, 1942 in Miami, WV, he was the son of the late Floyd Owen Bean and Neddie Jane Harper Bean.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Michael was employed by Kelco Insulation, Inc. as an insulation mechanic and was the designer of the “Bean Box”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nellie Kesner-Bean, at home; one daughter, Wanda Bean of Silver Spring, MD, one son, Rick Willoughby of Frederick, MD and one brother, Floyd Owen Bean, Jr.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will be in Brownville Heights Cemetery, Brownsville, MD.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
