Sheila Kay Taylor, 61, of Ashland, KY died Saturday, September 7, 2019 at home. She was born February 23, 1958 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Jess Hill and Ethel Helton Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey, Monte and Mabel; and her father-in-law, Gary Gene Taylor. She was retired with 41 years’ service with Ashland Inc. and Marathon Petroleum, where she was an operator. Sheila dearly loved life; her family, friends and animals and cherished family get-togethers. Sheila is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jeffrey Taylor; two sisters, Pam McCarty of Findlay, OH and Lina Bryan of Texas; three brothers, Wendell Hill and Harold Hill, both of Florida and Jimmie Hill of Ashland; and her mother-in-law, Melba Taylor of South Point, OH. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM Thursday at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, Ashland with Jerry Greenslait officiating.
