Robert J. Cobetto, 85, of Glen Carbon, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville.
   He was born on May 9, 1931 in Caseyville, Ill., son of the late George and Elizabeth (Ronco) Cobetto.
   He was survived by a daughter and a son, two granddaughters, and a great-grandson.
   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Alice (Ostrowsky) Cobetto, whom he married on June 5, 1954 in Edwardsville, Ill.; his sister, Lucille Kombrink; his brothers, Francis and Andrew Cobetto.
   Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Boniface Church in Edwardsville with Fr. Jeff Goeckner officiating.  Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville.  Memorials were suggested to the Memory and Aging Project at Washington University or the American Cancer Society.
   Arrangements were handled by Saksa Mateer Funeral Home, Edwardsville, Ill.
