Joe M Olson 76, Route 7 Tyler, Texas died at 5:45 pm Monday in a local hospital after an illness of four months.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Tuesday at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev Albert Dusek of Antioch Baptist Church officiating. Assisting will be the Rev Frank Cagle of Hebron Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery under the direction of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home.
Mr. Olson was a retired farmer and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife Mrs Virgie Olson of Tyler; four sons Howard Olson; Lee Olson; Joe Olson and James Olson all of Tyler; two daughters Pearl (Olson) Swinney and Veeter (Olson)Williams both of Tyler. A brother John Olson of Tyler; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Olson was preceded in death by his parents Martin Olson and Lizzie (Teel)Olson and brothers James Levi Rush and Columbus Rush and a son Bryant Olson.
Pallbearers will be Norman Willaims; Delton Swinney; Lawrence Longino; Jimmy ALexander; Max Cornieluson, VernonGlaspie and Marshall Harris.
