Maurice G. "Mike" Murphy passed away on January 2, 2017 in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Murphy was born in Grand Ledge, Michigan on October 16, 1922 to John Leo and Laura Murphy. He had been a lifelong resident of the Lansing area until 2001 when he and his wife, Evon, moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon to be closer to their family.
Surviving him are Evon, his wife of 60 years, daughter Michelle Kitto (William), and grandchildren Matt and Kate Kitto.
Mike was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force from December 1942 until October 1945. Following his discharge, he was in the commercial refrigerated equipment business for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Louise Bohl.
Private family services will be held.
