Richard Oliver Poole, 84, of Trinity, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019, at his home.
Born December 29, 1934, in Randolph County, he was a son of the late Troy Poole and the late Maie Osbourne Poole. Richard was a retired truck driver for Merita Bread and a longtime member of Glenola Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel West Poole of the home; sons, Randy Poole and wife Phyllis of Trinity, and Craig Poole and wife Donna of Trinity; sister, Virginia Rush and husband Bill of Florida; grandchildren, April Tanner and husband Paul, Sherry Williams, Gary Poole, and Matthew Poole and wife Raina; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Poole, Clifford Poole, Kermit Poole, Allen Poole, and Albert Poole’ sisters, Rosalee Clodfelter, and Kathleen Pierce.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Glenola Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Steen and Rev. Joe Coltrane officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Wednesday at Wright Funerals-Cremations.
