Services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. for Mr. Michael Eugene Brewer, age 66, of Richton, at Jones and Son Chapel. Mr. Brewer passed away at Asbury Hospice House on September 6, 2019. Bro. Jackie Spell and Bro. Danny Forrest will officiate with burial to follow in Union Cemetery in Piave. Pallbearers will be Gary Dewitt, David Dewitt, Jim Dewitt, Terry Dewitt, Dickie Dewitt, Butch Breland and Alex Brewer as alternate. Carey Munn will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Laverne Brewer; and brother, Stanley Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brewer of Richton; daughter, Lindsey Brewer of Richton, Deidre (Brian) Walley of Richton; grandchildren, Brice Aikman Walley, Emma Grace Walley, Brendan Michael Walley; brother, Ammon Brewer, Carlton Brewer; sister, Sandra Allred; aunt, Nelda Brewer; his beloved dog, Lucky.
Mr. Brewer worked in the oilfield for 40 years. He served 6 years in the MS National Guard and attended Brewer Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2019 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
