Anthony Rodgers departed this life September 8, 2018, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born May 28, 1962 to Wilson and Florine Rodgers, in Lepanto, Arkansas. He relocated to Kalamazoo, Michigan his parents and siblings. He attended Kalamazoo Public Schools. In 1981, Anthony graduated from Loy Norrix High School where he participated in the basketball, football, track programs. After high school, he became employed at Absolutaire as an electrician, working there for over 23 years.

In 2014, Anthony united in marriage to Laticia Jones.

Anthony was a people person and very family oriented. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Being with his children and grandchildren brought real joy to his heart. He especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and not just on holidays and special occasions. Anthony also loved to go fishing, working on cars, and travelling.

Close friend and fishing buddy, Lemar Ayers, has departed this life.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Laticia Rodgers; sons, Anthony, Jr. and Jonathan; daughter, Roykia; step-son, Warren Ezell, Jr.; step-daughters, Robin Jones, Tasha Ezell, and DayShanier Dixon;parents, Wilson and Florine Rodgers; 21 grandchildren; brothers, Frank Williams (Cynthia) and Wilson Rodgers, Jr. (Sophia); sister, Paula Wright (Billy);and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews ,aunts, uncles and friends. Also, special friends Dewayne Coleman (Darlene), “E J” Elgin (Rosella) Johnson, Jr., Charles Hines (Versi), Bobby Ellis, and Arans Bradford.
