Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Hulbert First Baptist Church for John A Nichols, 58, who died in Wagoner Hospital Monday following a one week illness. He was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County.
Rev Jimmy Musgrove, Pryor, officiated at the services.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs Jimmy Edmondson, Fayetteville, Ark., two sisters, Mrs Mae Butler, Hulbert, Mrs Dollie Buffo, Granada Hills, Cal., and seven grandchildren.
Burial was in Hulbert IOOF under the direction of the Green Funeral Home of Wagoner.
Bearers were Jimmy Rogers, Bob Hudlin, Ples Collins, Burl Squyers, R V Spears and Raymond Linder.
