Mark Cochran, 59, of Berryville, Virginia, died Sunday, August 18, 2019 as the result of a tractor accident at his home.

Mark was born September 2, 1959 in Leesburg, Virginia, the son of the late Ralph and Ivy Cochran.

Mark graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in 1978 and immediately established Cochran’s Lumber and Millwork with his brother, Larry. He married Dawn Hatcher of Hamilton, Virginia, on August 8, 1981.

Mark was a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church since 1983, where he faithfully served as choir accompanist, praise band keyboardist, deacon, Sunday school teacher, and elder. He also served as a board member for Windswept Academy in South Dakota and board chairman of the Industrial Development Authority of Clarke County.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; in-laws, Tommy and Nancy Hatcher, of Berryville, VA; stepmother, Helen Cochran, of Lincoln, VA; two brothers, Larry and his wife, Sandy, of Berryville, VA, and Bruce and his wife, Kathy, of Mesa, Arizona; four nephews, Ben and his wife Katie, of Berryville, VA, David and his wife, Julia, of Mountain View, CA, Matthew of Jackson, Wyoming, and Tim and his wife Michelle, of Scottsdale, AZ; five great-nieces and -nephews, Jonah, Abigail, Samuel, Colt, and Peyton.
