Christopher Stephen Edwards, age 42, of Stanaford, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Born on February 8, 1977, in Beckley, he was the son of Steve Edwards and Lynn Rizzi Edwards of Stanaford.
Chris was a former employee of GSI Construction Company. He was a member of Stanaford New Beginnings Christian Church. Chris enjoyed riding his motorcycle, building, welding, and was an avid artist.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bertie Rizzi, and by paternal grandparents Donald Edwards Sr. and Virginia Rogers, and by an uncle Donald Edwards Jr.
Other than his parents, Steve and Lynn Edwards, survivors include his children: Dylan, Destiny, Layla, and Braydon.
A brother, Joe Edwards and wife Amanda of Stanaford; Maternal grandfather, Joe Rizzi of Beckley; two nieces Addison and Madison of Stanaford. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Chris was loved by everyone that knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 2 PM with Pastor Lonnie Grear officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tommy Dove, Shawn Bowyer, Gary Young, Chris Huddle, Donnie Synder, Paul Jackson, Dennis McQuillen, Joe McQuillen, and Jamie Wooten.
