Steve Cone, age 60 of Mesquite, TX, passed away September 3, 2019. He was born July 12, 1959, in Jacksonville, TX, to Bobby Gene and Orie (Boone) Cone. Steve loved everything to do with hot rods and riding his Harley. He enjoyed cigars with his friends and regaling them with his latest fishing and hunting stories. He worked in IT as tech support until he retired.
Steve is survived by his sister: Sheila Armstrong and husband Mike of Pflugerville, TX; son: John Martinell of Plano, TX; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Lisa.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday, September 9, 2019, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location with Andy Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in West Shady Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville, where he will be laid to rest by his wife. The family will gather with friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00pm.
