Betty Trahan Summers, 89, of Lumberton, formerly of Beaumont, died Friday, September 6, 2019. She was born on December 27, 1929, in Beaumont, to Anita Foreman Trahan and Abel Trahan.
Betty is survived by her sons, Richard Summers and his wife, Paula, of Houston; Steve Summers and his wife, Peggy; John Summers; and Robert Summers and his wife, Donna, all of Lumberton; and Bill Summers and his wife, Lori, of Murphy, Texas; grandchildren, Stacey Granger, of Beaumont, Magan Parigi, of Fannett, Brandie Ehrhart, of Lumberton, Jared Summers, of Nederland, Alex Summers, of Beaumont, Tori Willingham, of Lumberton, Morgan Summers, of Salado, Texas, Lauren Summers and Katie Ingham, both of Lumberton, Reid Summers, of Denver, Colorado and Paige Summers, of Austin; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Summers, Jr.; and daughter, Judy Summers Boyette.
A gathering of Mrs. Summers’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South L.H.S. Drive, Lumberton, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
