She was born August 24, 1944 in Davis County to Beulas Edwin and Mary Irene Kinsler Gravett. She married Dennis H. Arnold October 14, 1962 and he preceded her in death December 6, 2011.
A graduate of Davis County High School in 1962, Roberta worked for JC Penny, United Federal Savings and for South Ottumwa Savings Bank, retiring as Branch Manager from the Pennsylvania Ave. location.
She was member of Willard Street United Methodist Church. Friendships were important to Roberta. She enjoyed spending time with her friends from church and her colleagues from work. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her donut group and playing cards with friends. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Becky (David) Botter of Gadsden, TN and Lisa (John) King of Chaska, MN seven grandchildren, Rachel King, Preston Botter, Rebecca Botter, Brian Botter, Mary Caroline Botter, Olivia Botter and James Dennis Miller Botter; a sister-in-law, Judy Gravett of Nixa, MO; several nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law, Wilma Arnold of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Gravett and infant, Rex LaVern Gravett; and an infant sister, Carma Lea Gravett.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shaul Cemetery or Sarcoma Foundation of America.
