Linda was an only child and after her parents divorced, her uncles brought her and her mother to Nebraska to live and grow up with family around her. She lived there until graduating from Benson High School and moving to Boston, Massachusetts. Linda worked as a secretary at Harvard, for a hand surgeon, and other administrative jobs.
Eventually she wound up in an advertising agency where she met her beloved husband, Donald McCormick. They were married on July 4, 1982. It seems like a long time ago but it all went by too quickly.
Linda worked at Harlan Elementary School as a Community Service Organizer, and then Secretary for many years. After her retirement she continued to help in other schools in the district and made many more friends. She was also a member of St. Thomas More choir.
