Velma M. Dobbs, age 70, of Monticello, KY passed away Friday, September 6th, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Velma M. Dobbs was born December 16, 1948 and departed this life Friday, September 6, 2019 reaching the age of 70 years. She was the daughter of the late James and Hattie (Kidd) Bishop.

She married Randall "Jack" Dobbs and to this union 4 children were born.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: 2 sons, Jonathan Dobb of Henderson, KY and Steven Crabtree of Kansas City, MO; 2 daughters, Paula Lanham of Lexington, KY and Jacqueline Bridgeman of Monticello; 2 sisters, Lois Foster of Monticello and Veda Whitis of Eubank; 4 Grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers Jack and James Houston Bishop.

She was a loving wife, mother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 after 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Gideon Bible Fund.
