Joshua Michael “Josh” Rogers, 23, beloved son of Michael David Rogers and Sandra Ellen Foxworth Rogers, finished his race taking the checkered flag Saturday, August 31, 2019.

Mr. Rogers was born December 22, 1995 in Georgetown.

He attended Hemingway High School and was a former employee of Pee Dee Hardware. He was currently employed as a truck driver with Ard Trucking. He loved Full Throttle Racing and lived life chasing after the checkered flag. Starting as a child, he has pursued his passion in racing from go-cart racing, dragster racing, to NASCAR. His smile was contagious and his laughter brighten the day of those whose lives he touched.

He leaves behind: his parents; his girlfriend, Katlin Collins; his maternal grandmother, Ethel Woodberry Foxworth; his paternal step-grandmother, Jackie Rogers; his Aunts and Uncles, Rodney Flynn (Wendy), Debbie Huggins (Marty), Pam Pope (Wayne), Marie Cantey (John), Tommy Foxworth (Debbie), Shawn Flynn.

He was predeceased by: his paternal grandfather, L.C. Rogers; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Baxley Lamb; and his maternal grandfather, Thomas Marion Foxworth; and his uncles, Marion Ulmer Foxworth, James Leland Foxworth and Lyn Rogers

Celebration of Victory Services will be 3PM, Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Liberty Southern Christian Fellowship PH Church. Internment directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8PM, Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the sanctuary of Liberty Southern Christian Fellowship PH Church.
