He was the oldest son of Alex Edwin Brown and Mary Dempsey Brown. He was a retired forklift mechanic from General Motors Parts Division and restored classic Chevy's during his retirement years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Unity Class and First Baptist Church Cumming. Surviving are his wife of almost 65 years, Shirley Ingram Brown; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Pinson, and Dawn and Keith Martin; grandchildren, Russell Pinson, Brandon Pinson and wife, Cherish, Alex Martin, Jenna Bolton and husband, Ben Bolton; sister, Mary Kincade (Bill - deceased); brother, Bobby Brown; and sister-in-law, Leona (Bobby) Brown.
