Lanie Edmunds Davis, age 97, died Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Mt Carmel East Hospital after a brief illness. Born November 5, 1921 in Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Frank A. Davis, son Donald C. Davis, mother Mae E. Brown (née Needham), father Hubert L. Edmunds, and brothers Clarence F. and A. Raymond Edmunds. Survived by children, Charlotte (Michael) Bougher, Rusty (Debbie) Davis, Sandy (John) Quarles, and Jim (Jennie) Davis; grandchildren, Dusty and Laurie Beech, Kani Wagner, Tim Davis, Brandon Green, Abby and Adam Bougher, Jackie and Matt Schilling, Pierson and Scarlett Davis; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was an accomplished musician and began playing in church and on the radio at age 12. She taught piano and organ lessons to hundreds of children, directed choirs, and played at thousands of church services, weddings, and funerals throughout her life. Friends may call at EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH, on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4-7 P.M. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 A.M. at Gender Road Christian Church, 5336 Gender Rd, Canal Winchester, OH with an additional visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor John Romig will officiate. The service will be live streamed at http://www.genderroadcc.com/live-streaming/. A luncheon will be held following the service.
