Stanley Lee Brown, age 88 of Springfield, formerly of Jackson, passed away on November 5, 2021 in Springfield.

Stanley was born on October 9, 1933 in Greenfield, TN, the son of the late Willie Paul and Ivy Sharp Brown. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later went to work for J.B. Hunt Trucking Company as a Driver Supervisor. Stanley was an active member of the Jackson Boxing Club and he boxed in the Golden Gloves Boxing Tournaments.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Wilson Brown, Marguerite Wilson, and Ruby Varnell; and his neice, Doris Varnell Beesley.

He is survived by his nephew-in-law, Tom Beesley of Springfield, TN; cousin, Leonard Brown of Texas; several additional cousins; and a special friend, Laura Roe.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Allen Granberry officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army.
