THE HONORABLE THOMAS HAROLD PEDERSEN, 69, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, July 2, 2007. He was born on March 18, 1938, in Fort Wayne. He earned his baccalaureate degree in the School of Business from Indiana University in 1960, and his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University School of Law in 1964. He began his legal career as an attorney and then partner with the law firm of Parr Richey Obremskey & Morton. Later, he received a gubernatorial appointment to the Boone County Superior Court II, where he ably served as judge for 12 years. He ended his legal career as general counsel of Ameritech Corporation, Indianapolis. He had a real passion for the law and for serving those in his community. He was involved in many civic and legal affairs, served on various community and corporate boards, and led numerous campaigns for charitable organizations. He was a student of military history and enjoyed nothing more than reading, boating, golfing and spending time with his family. Above all else, he was a faithful husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend. He leaves a legacy of principle, integrity and honor. Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. Pedersen; and three sons, Jeffrey Thomas (Valerie) Pedersen, Douglas Thomas (Genni) Pedersen and Todd Thomas (Katie) Pedersen; and six grandchildren.
