Obituary of Frank A. Bell, Jr.

Frank A. Bell, Jr., of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at AO Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.

Born on May 25, 1930 in Bloomfield, NJ, Frank was the son of the late Frank A. and Sella (Sanok) Bell, Sr.

Mr. Bell honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Frank was married to Carol E. (Gausby) Bell on December 23, 1977. Carol passed on January 26, 2019.

Mr. Bell received a college degree in Geology, which remained one of his passions.

Frank was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and competitive target shooting, where he had earned several titles. He also was a train enthusiast, collecting and building model trains.

He was a volunteer with Catskill Area Hospice, a life member of Post 1379 American Legion, where he was a Past Commander, life member of the Stamford Rod and Gun Club and the Stamford Pistol Team, Frank was also life long member of the NRA.

Besides his wife, Frank was predeceased by
a daughter: Megan Mundi;
and a granddaughter: Galadrial Mundi.

He is survived by sons:
Jared (Laura) VanWegenen of Howes Cave,
Keith (Claudia) Bell of Harpersfield and
Jeff (Fran) Bell of Davenport;
several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-7PM on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford.

A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Sunday, September 15 at the funeral home with full military honors.
