Victor Pawelski was born in 1842 in Posen, Thuringia, Germany, his father, Valentinus (Valentine), was 34 and his mother, Hedwig (nee Derdula), was 27. He married Francisca (Francis) Niemetz on 22 November 1864 at St Aloysius Sevenhill, South Australia. They had four children in 10 years. He died on 24 January 1918 in Blyth, South Australia, at 76 years, and was buried in Sevenhill Cemetery, South Australia.
