William was the son of Nathaniel Kendrick and Betty Jane Hurston Kendrick. He formerly worked with Leroy Phillips Construction Company. He was retired from CEMEX (formerly Medusa) and earned the nick-name "Pit Boss" for his dedication. He was a member of St James CME Church in Perry, Georgia where he served on the Usher Board.

He enjoyed collecting hats and knives. He also enjoyed fishing, watching WWC Wrestling and Nascar Racing and sitting outside with his best friends, Larry Johnson and Ricky Rumph.

He was married to Annie Mae Golden Kendrick on April 26, 1969, they remained together for 50 years. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Nathaniel Kendrick, Grady Lee Kendrick and John Henry "Boon" Stokeling and 3 sisters, Betty Mae Kendrick, Florence "Polly" Anderson and Julia "Mickey" Toomer and 2 granddaughters, Monica L. Adkinson and MarShae McGhee.

Survivors:
Wife: Annie Mae Kendrick.
4 Daughters: Angela Golden, Patrice McGhee, Cheryl Atkinson and Erica Young(Darrell).
5 Sons: Michael Golden(Crystal), Marcus Golden, William Quinton Kendrick(Yolonda), William Quincy Kendrick(ToShiba) and Detravious Hill.
4 Brothers: Bernest Stokeling, Larry Golden(Wanda), Jimmy Golden(Irene) and Phillip Golden(Cheryl).
1 Sister-In-Law: Elnora Kendrick.
25 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1PM in the Sanctuary of St James CME Church in Perry, Georgia.
