Betty passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Howell, MI to Gerald and Doris (Raymer) Jones. She married the love of her life, Reed Burton Sr., August 7, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell. Betty is a 1963 graduate of Howell High School and worked for Citizens Insurance shortly after she graduated. Betty enjoyed camping and spending time at the family cottage in Harrison. Betty ran a daycare in Howell from 1968 to 2014, giving care to hundreds of local children. Betty was also a survivor and supporter of the Relay for Life. The family was the most important thing to Betty and she will be remembered as a loving, giving, faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Her Family…Betty is survived by her husband, Reed; children, Jennifer (Joe) Goulet, Reed Burton Jr. (Nathalie), Mary Kay Besford, and Rob (Terri) Burton; sisters, Nancy Jones R.S.M. and Mary Smith; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Robert, Edward Sr., and Paul.
