BETTENDORF-Larry E. Radetzki, 76, of Bettendorf, passed away on August 29, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 3:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd from 3-7 PM at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly. Memorials in Larry's name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Larry was born on October 22, 1942 to Elmer and Violet (Schesser) Radetzki, in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1961. Larry worked for a number of years as a clothing industry buyer for multiple fine clothing retailers including Mosenfelder's & Schubach Stores. For the last 25 years, Larry operated his own Interior Design Business.

He began his music career as the organist at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at the early age of 13. Since 1979, he was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, where he also served as the head organist, director of music, and as the adult choir director. In his early years, he was commonly known as "Larry Lux", as he played at various nightclubs throughout the Quad Cities. He also known as "Mr. Music" on the show Romper Room. He was a member of the Lindsey Park Yacht Club and Oakwood Country Club. He loved boating, traveling to Arizona to be with his family, and dinner out with his friends.

Those left to honor Larry's memory are his sister Maryann Thompson; nieces Kimberly Miller and Beth (Manfred) Nimmervoll; great-nephews Zachary Miller, Wesley Miller, Michael Nimmervoll; great-nieces Kelly Miller and Berit Nimmervoll; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
