Carolyn raised and showed horses with her family members, went camping, built a house and barn in Elizabeth, CO. Was a member of the camping singles camping club, member of the pioneer women club, volunteered time and knowledge at Denver Public Schools Library and her passion was researching her family tree on Ancestry.com. She volunteered her EMT services to Denver General, by going on ambulance calls. Her primary employment was selling real estate, and she also obtained her EMT license. There are so many memories of Carolyn’s life, it is difficult to name them all. The best way to describe her is she was willing to try anything, to see if she liked it or not.
Carolyn remarried on September 18, 1994 to Harold D. Myers, they lived in Arvada, CO in the same house for 25 years and enjoyed gardening, traveling to different cities calling square and round dances with the Ridge Runners Dancers. She made jewelry with her daughter for many years and was still making jewelry until she became too ill. One of the things she said to her 57 year old daughter, was “Don’t ever get old”, she laughed and told her it’s a little too late for that. She had many sayings and quirks about her, the most memorable was her smile.
