Cullum Copeland Hutson was born on June 7, 1894 in White County, Tennessee, the son of Isaac Alexander Hutson (1851–1934) and Nancy "Levonia" (Erwin) Hutson (1852–1944).
He was married on July 25, 1917 in Putnam County to Charlie Grace Wall (ca Mar 1900- ), the daughter of Sterling Hartwell Wall (1859-1923) and Olivia Jane (Kuykendall) Wall (1876–1962).
A US Army veteran of World War I and later a pump tester at E I DuPont, and living at 106 Buffalo Street in Old Hickory, Davidson County, he was 59 years old and married when he died on May 20, 1954 at Madison Sanitarium & Hospital of ventricular fibrillation due to coronary sclerosis. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.
