Edith Jean Caudill Pierce, age 56, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was employed as a truck driver for Caldwell Freight.

She was born on January 24, 1959 in Bluefield to the late Howard "Clifton" Caudill (1915-1990) and Nettie Elizabeth Baber-Caudill (1924-1984). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Williams (Deceased); & brother-in-law, Bobby Woody (Deceased).

Edith leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 23 years, Billy E. Pierce; three children; Christopher Alan Clemons & fiancé Cristy, Nicholas Adam Clemons both of Taylorsville, Andrea LeAnn Clemons of Stony Point; one granddaughter Breeanna Leigh Clemons; siblings, Johnny Caudill & wife Dorothy Caudill, Clara Caudill-Akers & husband Ronald Akers, Vickie Caudill-Carosi & husband Mark Carosi, Diana Caudill-Bowling & husband Tim Bowling, all of Bluefield, Mary Caudill-Woody of Rocky Gap, & Geneva Caudill-Looney & husband Wallace Looney Jr. of Bland, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 7:30 P.M. from the Alexander Funeral Service in Taylorsville.
