Karen worked for Kmart for over 20 years until the store’s closing and then worked for Belk. She was a 1968 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She enjoyed quilting, flowers and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Surviving are two daughters: Kimberly and Kelly, grandchildren: Jamey, Brayden and Lydia and great granddaughter Sophia. She also leaves behind brothers: Pat, Michael and Bill and sisters: Loris, Sharon and Darlene and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Yeager in 2018 and infant sister Judith.
In following Karen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private memorial service will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
