Dennis L. Mason, 101, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Sept. 1, 2019. He was born March 15, 1918 in Barada, Neb. to Charles "Dick" Dickens and Wanda Josephine Mason. Dennis lived a long life and developed many talents along the way. He lived in Wichita, Kan. during WWII and did his part for the war effort working on B-29 bombers at Boeing Aircraft. After moving to Arkansas he opened a hatchery and feed store in Bentonville. He was a peerless handyman and spent his later years working as a builder and electrician, teaching the trade to members of his family. Outside of work Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Bentonville, was church treasurer for 30 years, and earned the status of elder emeritus.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years, Alice, their son, Kenneth, a sister, Lorene Boling, and a nephew, Mike Boling. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Patricia Ann Means (Homer) of Rogers, Ark., grandchildren Sherry Sparks and David, John, Scot, Miles, and Jarod Mason, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thurs., Sept. 5, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Rollins Funeral Home [Hwy 102] in Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Fri., Sept. 6, 2019 at the same location. Burial will follow in Bentonville [Ark.] Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David, Jarod, Miles, Scot, Nicholas, and Garrett Mason. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org/donate.
